In this episode, Karindy Ong, MA, CCC-SLP and Dr. Caitlin Keller PT, DPT dive into the essential and often overlooked role of pediatric pelvic floor therapy. They explore how pelvic floor tension and relaxation directly impact not only toileting challenges like constipation and bedwetting, but also airway health and function.
The conversation highlights how pelvic floor therapy for children differs from adult care and why it must be developmentally informed. From primitive reflexes and crawling patterns to vagus nerve activation and myofunctional goals, Dr. Keller explains how a well-regulated pelvic floor supports broader therapeutic outcomes, including improved airway function.
Dr. Keller also provides valuable guidance for parents navigating the limited but growing resources in pediatric pelvic care. This episode underscores the importance of collaborative therapy, mindful language, and early intervention in supporting whole-child health.

Are we truly connected with our children, or is modern life pulling us apart? In this episode, Karindy Ong and Nicole Archambault discuss the importance of emotional connection, body awareness, and the parent's role in fostering resilience and regulation. Disconnection is becoming more common, leading to emotional struggles in children and families. Nicole shares practical strategies to strengthen bonds, regulate emotions, and create a safe space for growth—both in therapy and at home. Before we establish changes in nasal breathing, oral rest posture, and sleep, we must establish connection. A key takeaway from the conversation is that you don’t need to completely change your life to create a meaningful impact. Small, intentional steps can lead to lasting change. Topics Discussed:
Why self-regulation is more than just staying calm
How slowing down helps foster deeper relationships with children
Why children sense when parents are emotionally disconnected and how to address it

Welcome Myohacker!
Karindy Ong is a Speech-Language Pathologist who came from the world of spinal cord and brain injury, but when her own children had ongoing airway related issues, she transitioned into the world of Myofunctional Therapy in order to better address their needs. While researching and learning about orofacial myofunctional disorders for her own children, Karindy saw the applications across age groups and diagnoses. She witnessed an increasing need for an orofacial myofunctional approach, seeing that this was the best path to address complex airway related issues in patients suffering from a variety of issues.
Karindy is passionate about myofunctional therapy, feeding issues, the role of fascia, CFT (craniosacral fascia therapy), collaborating with a qualified team of providers, and getting to the root cause issues. Through her own healing journey Karindy has developed a broad understanding of holistic and functional medicine applications, and utilizes an integrative approach in every treatment plan of care. To improve treatment outcomes and reduce treatment time, Karindy utilizes biofeedback and biohacking technologies and concepts in her sessions. With the focused intention of making a massive difference in the world, Karindy is on a mission to educate families around the globe with information about airway development. The heart behind her mission is seeing not only her own children but also their peers grow up to be healthy and vibrant, able to live without the pain and cost of chronic airway challenges.
